Royworld have been announced as he headliner for this years festival.
A moonlit ebb and flow of star guitar and dazzling vocals Brakes is the new single from Royworld, released on 18th August on Virgin Records. Royworld songs are ‘coming of age films’ in miniature; explosive roller-coaster dramas inside three and a half minutes.
Debut release Elasticity came wound up tight in Sparks-esque absurdity; Man In The Machine beamed down from the Buggles space station to a receiver on Daft Punk’s pyramid; and Dust burst forth in epic FM Stereo; a trio of singles that have stuck firmly to radio play lists since the beginning of the year. Royworld pull down on the levers of instant power pop, and yet exist in an unfathomable melting pot of melodic riches.

Youth 4 Youth was created back in 2007 by a group of youngsters as a bid to present young people in a positive light. The youth festival is back for another year and promises to be even better. With over 20 youth artists and performers performing to a crowd of over 2,000 the event promises to be the biggest youth festival in Bristol.
The event has something for everyone, a festival stage with the latest of Bristol’s youth talent to workshops in dancing, African drumming, circus skills and graffiti. The event promises to be an exciting day out for families and young people.
It will be held on Saturday 13th September from 1-10pm at the Kingswood Foundation on Britannia Rd. Ticket details here...

The Youth 4 Youth 2008 Launch Night will take place on Friday 25th July, 5.00pm, at Kingswood Foundation (click here for details of how to find us).
The evening will contain performances from over 8 artists and our announcement of our headliner.
The event costs £1 on the door, you just need to turn up and bring some friends!
Sweets and drinks will also be available!
We are always on the lookout for new bands and artists, so if you think you can bring something to future events, get in contact!

Tickets for Youth 4 Youth 2008 have now gone on sale at Bristol Ticket Shop.
Tickets cost £3 in advance (subject to booking fee) and on the day before 6pm.
Entry on the day after 6pm will cost £5.
All children under 11 most be accompanied by a adult.

Following the amazing success of last years Youth 4 Youth event and the great positive feedback, we’ve decided to give young people a preview of what to expect this year. We are aiming for Youth 4 Youth ‘08 to be even bigger and better then last year. We are going to achieve this with a series of taster gigs leading up to the main event. We will have a selection of local bands some of which performed at Y4Y ’07. The organising team are also looking for new talents for this year.
The first will be on Friday 29th February from 7.30pm to 10pm.

We held our first event on the 23rd of September the event was a big success with Lil Chris work shops and local bands playing not only did it help local bands but the people organising it building confidence, orginisation skills, team building, leading skills and other skills that will be useful in work and life and also get to meet lots of new friend and interesting people.
